New Canaan, Connecticut

This expansive 1970s home, once lacking in personality and architectural clarity, has been thoughtfully restored to embrace a more traditional sensibility. Caroline Kopp reimagined the entire main floor—kitchen, dining, bar, living, and family rooms—as well as five bathrooms and the primary bedroom. The design balances classic Connecticut elegance with the practical demands of a family with three young boys, selecting performance fabrics and finishes that feel luxurious while standing up to the energy of everyday life.
